Shaykh Jawād Kanī (Persian: شیخ جواد کني), (b.?-d.1355/1936-7 or 1358/1939-40) was one of the scholars of Rey city. He was the grandson of Mulla 'Ali Kani and the son of Shaykh Mahdi Larijani (one of the famous scholars of Rey who was the son in law of Mulla 'Ali Kani). He was doing religious propagation in the Holy Shrine of 'Abd al-'Azim al-Hasani, also he was an Imam of Congregational Prayer there.

Biography

He was born in Rey (a small city near Tehran). To study at Islamic seminary, he went to Najaf. He educated under scholars such as Akhund Khurasani and Mirza Husayn Khalili Tihrani, then came back to Rey. After the demise of his brother, Shaykh Aqa Buzurg, he took the responsibility of religious affairs. Shaykh Jawad passed away in 1355/1936-7 (or 1358/1939-40[1]) and his body was buried in the Holy Shrine of 'Abd al-'Azim al-Hasani in Rey.
