wikishia:Manual of Style/Article message boxes

From wikishia

Article message boxes are used when you need to inform other editors about a current situation of an article or when the article has one or multiple issues. Technically, labels are also templates and are used by adding a template code at the beginning or on top a section in articles. Each template add its own category to the article so the similar articles can be identified using the category. These are some of the most common labels in WikiShia. Some of the most used message boxes are as below.

Under Construction

This label is used to indicate that an article is actively under construction. In the {{editorial box}}, if the links of the article is not marked as done, the template is shown.

Unreferenced

This template is no longer used as the articles of English WikiShia do have reference, either the corresponding Farsi article or the detailed references.

Refimprove

This template is no longer used as the articles of English WikiShia do have reference, either the corresponding Farsi article or the detailed references.

Good article

After completion of the wikification, the article is promoted to the good article level by placing {{good article}}.

Cleanup red links

Add this to the top of an article whenever:

  • There are too many red links for this article.
  • One or more of the links present (regardless of number) are inappropriate for any reason.

Add this code on top of the article, {{Cleanup red links|date=February 2016}}

To flag an individual section, use: {{Cleanup red links|section|date=February 2016}}

Please consider "weeding the link farm" yourself, rather than using this tag to ask someone else to do it. Don't forget to remove this template when the concerns appear to have been resolved. And don't forget to use the date parameter!

This template will categorize tagged articles into Category:Wikishia red link cleanup.

Multiple Issues

Since adding multiple labels at top of an article would cause the page look unpleasant, if an article has more than one issue, first try to fix the issues. But if you can't, use this template to add multiple messages in only one message box at top of the article, including every single issue in one separated line. Example:

{{Multiple issues|
{{Incomplete|date=January 2008}}{{Unreferenced|date=June 2009}}{{Empty section|date=March 2011}}
}}

The code above renders:
