• Hisham b. al-Hakam (d. 179/795), a Shi'a theologian of the 2nd/8th century and one of the companions of Imam al-Sadiq (a) and Imam al-Kazim (a).

• Hisham b. Salim al-Jawaliqi (d. ), a student and companion of Imam al-Sadiq (a) and Imam al-Kazim (a). His expertise in theology was more than in jurisprudence.

• Hisham b. Abd al-Malik (d. 125/743), the tenth Umayyad caliph from the Quraysh tribe who became the caliphate after the death of Yazid b. Abd al-Malik in 105/723.
