Muhammad b. Ali b. Husayn b. Musa b. Babiwayh Qummi known as Shaykh Saduq was among the scholars of 4th century AH. The date of his birth was 305 AH. He passed away in 381 AH and was buried in Rey. He was among the greatest scholars in fiqh and hadith of the hadith school of Qom. He had about 300 scientific works, many of which are lost. Man la yahduruh al-faqih among the Four Books, is one of his works.
