* [[Ja'far b. Abi Talib]]; known as '''Jaʿfar al-Ṭayyār''' ({{iarabic|جَعفَر الطَيّار}}) (the flying Ja'far) and '''Dhu l-Janāḥayn''' ({{iarabic|ذو الجَناحَین}}) (the one with two wings) was cousin of the [[Prophet Muhammad (s)]] and the older brother to [[Imam 'Ali (a)]]. He led a group of Muslims to take refuge in [[Abyssinia]]. He was appointed as the commander of the Muslim Army in the [[Battle of Muta]], in which he was later [[martyr]]ed. His tomb is in [[Jordan]].

 

* [['Abd Allah b. Mas'ud]]; known as '''ʾIbn Masʿūd''' (Arabic: {{iarabic|ابن مسعود}}), was one of the companions of the Prophet (s) and a [[narrator]] of [[hadith]]s and an [[exegete]] of the [[Qur'an]] in the early [[Islam]]. He took himself as the sixth person who converted to Islam. He was one of the first memorizers of the Qur'an.

 

* [['Abd Allah b. Ja'far b. Abi Talib|'Abd Allah b. Ja'far]]; a companions of the Prophet (s), Imam Ali (a), and [[Imam al-Hasan (a)]] and husband of [[Lady Zaynab (a)]]. He accompanied Imam al-Hasan (a) until his peace treaty with [[Mu'awiya]]. His two sons –[['Awn b. 'Abd Allah b. Ja'far|'Awn]] and [[Muhammad b. 'Abd Allah b. Ja'far|Muhammad]]- were martyred in the [[Day of 'Ashura']] by [[Yazid]]'s army.  

 

* [['Abd Allah b. 'Abd al-Asad]]; a foster brother (brother from rida') of the Prophet (s) and was among Muhajirun (the emigrants) who emigrated to Abyssinia (Ethiopia) and [[Medina]]. He was one of the first people converted to Islam and participated in the battles of [[battle of Badr|Badr]] and [[battle of Uhud|Uhud]]. He was wounded in the Battle of Uhud and later passed away from his wound.

 

* [[Abu 'Ubayda al-Jarrah]]; known as '''Abū ʿUbayda al-Jarrāḥ''' ({{ia| أبوعُبیدة الجرّاح}}), a close companion of [[Abu Bakr b. Abi Quhafa]] and [['Umar b. al-Khattab]]. In the [[incident of Saqifa]], he endorsed the [[caliphate]] of Abu Bakr and had a major role in taking oaths of allegiance from opponents of Abu Bakr, and in particular, Imam 'Ali (a).  

 

* [[Shurahbil b. Hasana]]; one of the first sahaba of Prophet Muhammad (s). Shurahbil attended the first [[ghazwas]] in the early Islam. He is mentioned as a scriber (or katib) of the Prophet (s); he wrote the Prophet's (s) letter to people of Ayla.

 

* [[Khalid b. Sa'id]]; one of the first people who converted to Islam. He was a scribe (katib) of the Prophet Muhammad (s). He was the Holy Prophet's (s) agent in [[Yemen]]. After the Prophet's (s) demise, he resigned from this position and preferred not to work for the caliphs. Khalid b. Sa'id was one of the 12 people who did not pledge their allegiance with Abu Bakr b. Abi Quhafa;

 

* [['Uthman b. 'Affan]]  

* [[Abu Hudhayfa]]; one of the great companions and early Muslims, one of the people who migrated to Abyssinia and Medina and took part in the majority of ghazwas and [[Sariyya]]s and was given the accolade of being killed in the [[Battle of Yamama]].

 

* [[Miqdad b. 'Amr]]; one of the noble companions of the Prophet (s), and one of the first Shi'as of Imam Ali (a). He is participated in the Battle of Badr and all of the battles with the Prophet (s).

 

* [[Mus'ab b. 'Umayr]]; was among those who converted to [[Islam]] in the house of [[Arqam b. Abi Arqam|Arqam]]. He was sent him to [[Yathrib]] for the propagation of Islam. He attended the Battle of Badr and was [[Martyrdom|martyred]] in the Battle of Uhud.

 

* [['Uthman b. Maz'un]]; one of the Prophet's Companions and his foster brother. He was among the first Muslims. He, his brother, 'Abd Allah b. Maz'un, and his son, Sa'ib, were present in Migration to Abyssinia, Migration to Medina, and the Battle of Badr.
