Prayer of Sunday in Dhu l-Qa'da: Difference between revisions

For performing this prayer, a person should perform [[ghusl]] on one of the Sundays of Dhu al-Qi'da and performs [[wudu]] (or performs wudu before ghusl) and then performs two two-rak'a prayers, each like a [[fajr prayer]] with the intention of the prayer of Sunday in Dhu al-Qi'da. He should recite [[Sura al-Fatiha]] once, [[Sura al-Tawhid]] three times, [[Sura al-Nas]] once and then [[Sura al-Falaq]] once in each rak'a. After the four rak'as, he should repent (saying a [[dhikr]] like [[Astaghfirullah-a wa atub-u ilayh]]) seventy times, and says the dhikr La hawl-a wa la quwwat-a illa billah once and then recites the following supplication, "Ya 'Aziz-u ya Ghaffar-u-ghfir-li dhunubi wa dhunub-a jami' al-mu'minin wa-l-mu'minat-I fa innah-u la yaghfir-u-dhunub-a illa ant."

The time for performing this prayer is a Sunday in [[Dhu al-Qi'da]] at any hour of the day. According to the last phrase of the supplication, if it is performed on a Sunday in other months, it will have the same rewards.

This hadith is [[mursal]] and weak regarding the [[chain of transmission]], but based on the rule of tasamuh in the arguments of traditions, performing this prayer is valid and a person who performs it will achieve the mentioned merits by the will of [[God]].
