Sura al-Shams (Arabic: الشمس‎ , "The Sun") is one of Meccan suras of the holy book Qura'n. It is 91th sura, in writing order, and 26th sura, in revelation order. Since it is sward to al-Shams (sun) in the beginning of this sura, it is called al-Shams (sun). The main contents of this sura are relevant to some ethical topics as well as the story of the prophet Saleh and his camel and his people Thamud.
