Sura al-Shams (Arabic: الشمس , "The Sun") is one of Meccan suras of the holy book Qura'n. It is 91th sura, in writing order, and 26th sura, in revelation order. Since it is sward to al-Shams (sun) in the beginning of this sura, it is called al-Shams (sun).
