 Zaynab died in [[8]]/630. Her corpse was [[Ghusl of the Dead|washed]] by [[Sawda bt. Zam'a]], [[Umm Salama]], and [[Umm Ayman]]. [[The Prophet (s)]] asked them to cover her with his clothes. He then went into the grave and prayed for her.
-According to an account of her death, when she was going from [[Mecca]] to [[Medina]] to join the Prophet (s), Habar b. Aswad and Nafi' b. 'Abd al-Qays from the [[Quraysh]], threw arrows to her howdah. She is said to have been pregnant then, and this led her to abort her baby. The pains did not improve, until she died in 8/630.
