Du'a al-Faraj (Invocation for the Advent of the Imam of the Age)
O my Lord! The calamity has aggravated; the absence prolonged; The curtain of modesty has been lifted; hope has been curtailed; The earth has been narrow; and sky has been denied. The earth has been narrow; and sky has been denied. And in You we trust in the times of difficulty. | Ilahī ʿaẓum-a l-balāʾ-u wa bariḥ-a l-khafāʾ-u wa nkashaf-a l-ghitāʾ-u wa nqaṭaʿa l-rajāʾ-u wa ḍāqat-i l-ʾarḍ-u wa muniʿat-i l-samāʾ-u wa ant-a l-mustaʿān-u wa ilayk-a l-mushtakā wa ʿalayk-a l-muʿawwal-u fi l-shiddat-i wa l-rakhāʾ | إِلَهِی عَظُمَ الْبَلاءُ وَ بَرِحَ الْخَفَاءُ وَ انْکشَفَ الْغِطَاءُ وَ انْقَطَعَ الرَّجَاءُ وَ ضَاقَتِ الْأَرْضُ وَ مُنِعَتِ السَّمَاءُ وَ أَنْتَ الْمُسْتَعَانُ وَ إِلَیک الْمُشْتَکی وَ عَلَیک الْمُعَوَّلُ فِی الشِّدَّةِ وَ الرَّخَاءِ |
O Allah! Send blessings upon Muhammad (S) and the progeny of Muhammad (S),The possessors of authority whose obedience you have enjoined upon us And by that made us aware of their position. Then make open for us, by their truth, an immediate opening, immediate as a wink or sooner. | Allāhumm-a ṣall-i ʿalā Muḥammad-in wa Āl-i Muḥammad-in Uli l-amr-i l-ladhīn-a faraḍt-a ʿalayna ṭāʿatahum wa ʿarraftanā bi-dhālik-a manzilatahum fa-farrij ʿannā bi-ḥaqqihim faraj-an ʿājil-an qarīb-an ka-lamḥ-i l-baṣar-i aw huw-a aqrab | اَللَّــهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَی مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ أُولِی الْأَمْرِ الَّذِینَ فَرَضْتَ عَلَینَا طَاعَتَهُمْ وَ عَرَّفْتَنَا بِذَلِک مَنْزِلَتَهُمْ فَفَرِّجْ عَنَّا بِحَقِّهِمْ فَرَجا عَاجِلا قَرِیبا کلَمْحِ الْبَصَرِ أَوْ هُوَ أَقْرَبُ |
O Muhammad! O Ali!, O Ali! O Muhammad! Suffice me both of you as both of you are sufficient. Help me—two of you—for you are my helpers. O our Master, O Master of the Time! Help! Help! Help! Rescue me! Rescue me! Rescue me! This moment! This moment! This moment! Hasten, hasten, hasten! O Most Merciful of the Merciful, For the sake of Muhammad (S) and his holy progeny.[1] | Yā Muḥammad-u yā ʿAlī-yyu yā ʿAlī-yyu yā Muḥammad-u ikfīyāni fainnakumā kāfīyan-i wa nsurānī fa-innakumā nāsiran-i yā mawlānā yā Ṣāḥib-a l-Zamān al-ghawth-a l-ghawth-a l-ghawth-a adriknī adriknī adriknī l-sāʿat-a l-sāʿat-a l-sāʿat-a l-ʿajal-a l-ʿajal-a l-ʿajal-a yā arḥam-a l-raḥimīn-a bi-ḥaqq-i Muḥammad-in wa Ālih-i l-ṭahirīn | یا مُحَمَّدُ یا عَلِی یا عَلِی یا مُحَمَّدُ اِکفِیانِی فَإِنَّکمَا کافِیانِ وَ انْصُرَانِی فَإِنَّکمَا نَاصِرَانِ یا مَوْلانَا یا صَاحِبَ الزَّمَانِ اَلْغَوْثَ الْغَوْثَ الْغَوْثَ أَدْرِکنِی أَدْرِکنِی أَدْرِکنِی السَّاعَةَ السَّاعَةَ السَّاعَةَ الْعَجَلَ الْعَجَلَ الْعَجَلَ یا أَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِینَ بِحَقِّ مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ الطَّاهِرِینَ |
