Sayyid Abd Allah Fatimi Niya
Sayyid ʿAbd Allāh Fātimī Niyā, (b. 1946, Tabriz - d. 2022) is a Shi'a cleric, master of Islamic ethics, famous orator, and bibliographer. He is an expert in rijal, theoretical mysticism, and is considered an exegete of Nahj al-balagha and al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiya. In Islamic mysticism (irfan), he is impressed by the teachings of Sayyid Ali Qadi Tabataba'i (d. 1946) and studied irfan under Allama Tabataba'i, Muhammad Taqi Bahjat, and Sayyid Rida Baha' al-Dini.
Fatimi Niya believes Islamic medicine is nothing but traditional medicine; also al-Risala al-dhahabiyya which is attributed to Imam al-Rida (a), is fabricated and invalid. From his viewpoint, none of the books written on dream interpretation are valid. According to him, the knowledge of philosophy is good if it is used as a means of understanding religion and if it is contrary to the Qur'an and hadith, it has to be rejected.
