Al-Jawahir al-saniyya fi l-ahadith al-qudsiyya (book): Difference between revisions

A Qudsi hadith is a word of God which has been revealed to the Prophet (s) other than the glorious Qur’an and is also called “hadith Rabbani” and “hadith Ilahi”. The theme of Qudsi hadiths are mostly Akhlaq and ‘Irfan.

The most important issue and the disagreement about these hadiths is about the revelatory nature of their words. Most of these hadiths are narrated from the noble Prophet (s) by Anas b. Malik, Abu Hurayra, Ibn Abbas and Imam Ali (a).

Shaykh Hurr al-‘Amili considered divine words, the Prophet (s) and Imams (a) very worthy to be paid attention to by the hearts. He mentioned this as his goal of collecting these words of light which Imams (a) narrated from the Prophet (s) and he (s) narrated from God.

In addition to comprehensiveness of the book, the hadiths contained in the book are accepted by both schools (Shia and Sunni) and both groups have approved their references, so that it can be said that both schools have consensus on the message of those hadiths and they have been frequently narrated by different narrators. Messages of these hadiths, through a correct and unmistakable reasoning, prove the necessity of following Imamate and also proves rightfulness of Twelver Shia school and also describes the attributes of the “Saving Sect”.

This book has been translated by the title of “Kuliyyat-i hadith-i Qudsi” with the Persian translation of Zayn al-‘Abidin Khalkhali by Dehqan publications for a third time in 2001. Also, another Persian translation by Karim Feydi Tabrizi with the same title has been published by Qa’im Al-i Muhamamd (s) publication in Qom in 2005.
