'Abd al-'Azim al-Hasani (عبدالعظيم الحسني) (b. 173/789 d. 252/866) known as Sayyid al-Karīm or Shah ʿAbd al-ʿAzīm whose kunya is Abu l-Qasim and Abu l-Fath was among famous scholars of the sayyid progeny of Imam al-Hasan (a) and a transmitter of hadith. He lived in the second and third centuries AH. He was a pious man known for his trust-keeping, truthfulness, knowledgeable in religion and transmitter of many hadiths. al-Shaykh al-Saduq compiled his transmitted hadiths in a collection called Jami' akhbar 'Abd al-'Azim.

'Abd al-'Azim al-Hasani, had the opportunity to see Imam al-Rida (a) and Imam al-Jawad (a) and had presented his beliefs to Imam al-Hadi (a) and passed away at his time. His mausoleum is in Rey, Tehran, Iran. It is mentioned in some hadiths that the rewards given for visiting his grave in Rey is equal to the rewards given for visiting Imam al-Husayn (a). continue...
