Views
It is said that Haydar Bas views on the Ahl al-Bayt (a) were similar to those of the Shi'a.[8] He considered the Ahl al-Bayt (a) to be the truth and heart of Islam and the duration of the Prophet's (s) mission. In his view, after the mission (Risālah) of the Prophet (s), the era of Walaya began, which was the era of the spiritual and intellectual guidance of the Ummah through the Ahl al-Bayt (a).[9] Baş believed that knowing and practicing Islam is impossible without knowing and understanding the Ahl al-Bayt (a), and such knowledge would be incomplete. He emphasized that the Ahl al-Bayt (a) are faith, obedience, submission, truth, and reality themselves. With this approach, he invited the Muslims of Turkey to make the knowledge and love of the Ahl al-Bayt (a) the basis of their faith.[10] He believed that the Ahl al-Bayt (a) are the objective example of the Quran and that the written Quran is manifested in their existence; meaning the Ahl al-Bayt (a) are the Speaking Quran (al-Qurʾān al-Nāṭiq).[11]

Haydar Baş considered the Ahl al-Bayt (a) as the means to achieve the intercession of the Prophet (s) and regarded love for them as the only way to save the Islamic Ummah from problems and hardships.[12] He considered Paradise to be the reward for loving Imam Ali (a).[13]
Like the Shi'a, he held the Second Caliph responsible for the Martyrdom of Lady Fatima (a). This view was criticized by some Sunni scholars, who accused him of favoring the Shi'a.[14]
In a note criticizing Islamic countries regarding the Occupation of Palestine by Israel, Haydar Baş stated that the condition for realizing true unity in the Islamic world is for Al-Aqsa Mosque to become the capital of the Islamic world.[15]
