11 AH is one of the years in Lunar Hijri calendar. The year is important in the history of Shi'a; because on Safar 28 of this year the holy Prophet (s) demised, after which the event of Saqifa took place, and Abu Bakr became the caliph of Muslims, instead of Imam 'Ali (a) who was, in the view of Shi'a, the rightful caliph after the Prophet (s). Lady Fatima (a) was also martyred in this year.

11 AH started on Sunday, April 1, 632; and ended on Wednesday, March 20, 633.
