For this day, in addition to the common acts of worship observed on all days of Ramadan, some specific supplications and deeds have also been narrated. Sayyid b. Tawus has narrated more prayers for this day in his book Iqbal al-A'mal.

	Special Acts and Supplications for the Twentieth of Ramadan
Night Twentieth	O You who softened iron for Dawud (pbuh). O You who removed great harm and afflictions from Ayyub (pbuh). O You who relieved the sorrow of Ya'qub (pbuh). O You who dispelled the grief of Yusuf (pbuh). Send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You are worthy to send blessings upon them all. And do with me what You are worthy of, and do not do with me what I am worthy of. Arabic: يَا مُلَيِّنَ الْحَدِيدِ لِدَاوُدَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ يَا كَاشِفَ الضُّرِّ وَ الْكُرَبِ الْعِظَامِ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ أَيْ مُفَرِّجَ هَمِّ يَعْقُوبَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ أَيْ مُنَفِّسَ غَمِّ يُوسُفَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلامُ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَيْهِمْ أَجْمَعِينَ وَ افْعَلْ بِي مَا أَنْتَ أَهْلُهُ وَ لا تَفْعَلْ بِي مَا أَنَا أَهْلُهُ
Prayer	Eight rak'as (four two-rak'a prayers) with any sura of your choice.
Supplication of the Day	O Allah, on this day, open for me the doors of the heavens, and lock the doors of Hell from me, help me to recite the Qur'an, O the One who sends down tranquility into the hearts of believers. Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِی فِیهِ اَبْوَابَ الْجِنَانِ وَ اَغْلِقْ عَنِّی فِیهِ اَبْوَابَ النِّیرَانِ وَ وَفِّقْنِی فِیهِ لِتِلاوَةِ الْقُرْآنِ یَا مُنْزِلَ السَّکِینَةِ فِی قُلُوبِ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ
