For this day, in addition to the common acts of worship observed on all days of Ramadan, some specific supplications and deeds have also been narrated. Sayyid b. Tawus has narrated more prayers for this day in his book Iqbal al-A'mal.

	Special Acts and Prayers for the Eighth Day of Ramadan
Prayer	It is recommended to perform two rak'a prayer, after reciting Sura al-Fatiha, recite Sura al-Tawhid 10 times. After the salam, recite Subhan Allah a thousand times.
Supplication of the Day	O Allah, on this day, let me have mercy on the orphans, and feed [the hungry], and spread peace, and keep company with the noble-­minded, O the shelter of the hopeful. Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِی فِیهِ رَحْمَةَ الْاَیْتَامِ وَ اِطْعَامَ الطَّعَامِ وَ اِفْشَاءَ السَّلامِ وَ صُحْبَةَ الْکِرَامِ بِطَوْلِکَ یَا مَلْجَاَ الْآمِلِینَ
