| In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
|
بِسْمِ الله الرَّحمٰن الرَّحِیم
|
| "O Allah, whoever prepares and equips themselves to visit a creature, hoping for its support, seeking its gifts and rewards..."
|
اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ تَعَبَّأَ وَ تَهَيَّأَ وَ أَعَدَّ وَ اسْتَعَدَّ لِوِفَادَةٍ إِلَى مَخْلُوقٍ رَجَاءَ رِفْدِهِ وَ طَلَبَ نَائِلِهِ وَ جَائِزَتِهِ
|
| "To You, O Lord, I direct my preparation and readiness, hoping for Your pardon, seeking Your gifts and rewards."
|
فَإِلَيْكَ يَا رَبِّ تَعْبِيَتِي وَ اسْتِعْدَادِي رَجَاءَ عَفْوِكَ وَ طَلَبَ نَائِلِكَ وَ جَائِزَتِ
|
| "So do not disappoint my supplication, O He who is never disappointed by a seeker, and whose gifts are never diminished."
|
فَلاَ تُخَيِّبْ دُعَائِي يَا مَنْ لاَ يَخِيبُ عَلَيْهِ سَائِلٌ (السَّائِلُ) وَ لاَ يَنْقُصُهُ نَائِلٌ
|
| "For I have not come to You relying on any good deed I have done, nor hoping for the visit of any creature."
|
فَإِنِّي لَمْ آتِكَ ثِقَةً بِعَمَلٍ صَالِحٍ عَمِلْتُهُ وَ لاَ لِوِفَادَةِ مَخْلُوقٍ رَجَوْتُهُ
|
| "I come to You, acknowledging my wrongdoing and injustice, confessing that I have no argument or excuse."
|
أَتَيْتُكَ مُقِرّاً عَلَى نَفْسِي بِالْإِسَاءَةِ وَ الظُّلْمِ مُعْتَرِفاً بِأَنْ لاَ حُجَّةَ لِي وَ لاَ عُذْرَ
|
| "I come to You, hoping for Your immense pardon, which You have granted to the wrongdoers."
|
أَتَيْتُكَ أَرْجُو عَظِيمَ عَفْوِكَ الَّذِي عَفَوْتَ (عَلَوْتَ) بِهِ (عَلَى) عَنِ الْخَاطِئِينَ (الْخَطَّائِينَ)
|
| "Their persistence in great sin did not prevent You from returning to them with mercy."
|
فَلَمْ يَمْنَعْكَ طُولُ عُكُوفِهِمْ عَلَى عَظِيمِ الْجُرْمِ أَنْ عُدْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ بِالرَّحْمَةِ
|
| O He whose mercy is vast and whose pardon is immense, O Most Great, O Most Great, O Most Great.
|
فَيَا مَنْ رَحْمَتُهُ وَاسِعَةٌ وَ عَفْوُهُ عَظِيمٌ يَا عَظِيمُ يَا عَظِيمُ يَا عَظِيمُ
|
| Nothing can repel Your anger except Your forbearance, and nothing can save from Your wrath except supplication to You.
|
لاَ يَرُدُّ غَضَبَكَ إِلاَّ حِلْمُكَ وَ لاَ يُنْجِي مِنْ سَخَطِكَ إِلاَّ التَّضَرُّعُ إِلَيْک
|
| "So grant me, O my God, relief by the power with which You revive the dead lands."
|
فَهَبْ لِي يَا إِلَهِي فَرَجاً بِالْقُدْرَةِ الَّتِي تُحْيِي بِهَا مَيْتَ الْبِلاَدِ
|
| "And do not destroy me with grief until You answer me and make me recognize the response to my supplication."
|
وَ لاَ تُهْلِكْنِي غَمّاً حَتَّى تَسْتَجِيبَ لِي وَ تُعَرِّفَنِي الْإِجَابَةَ فِي دُعَائِي
|
| "And let me taste the flavor of well-being until the end of my term, and do not let my enemy gloat over me, nor give him power over me, nor enable him to overpower me."
|
وَ أَذِقْنِي طَعْمَ الْعَافِيَةِ إِلَى مُنْتَهَى أَجَلِي وَ لاَ تُشْمِتْ بِي عَدُوِّي وَ لاَ تُسَلِّطْهُ عَلَيَّ وَ لاَ تُمَكِّنْهُ مِنْ عُنُقِی
|
| "O Allah (my God), if You lower me, who can raise me? And if You raise me, who can lower me?"
|
اللَّهُمَّ (إِلَهِي) إِنْ وَضَعْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَرْفَعُنِي وَ إِنْ رَفَعْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَضَعُنِي
|
| "And if You destroy me, who can intercede with You for Your servant or ask You about his affair?"
|
وَ إِنْ أَهْلَكْتَنِي فَمَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يَعْرِضُ لَكَ فِي عَبْدِكَ أَوْ يَسْأَلُكَ عَنْ أَمْرِهِ
|
| "And I know that there is no injustice in Your decree, nor haste in Your retribution."
|
وَ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ فِي حُكْمِكَ ظُلْمٌ وَ لاَ فِي نَقِمَتِكَ عَجَلَةٌ
|
| "Only one who fears missing out acts hastily, and only the weak resort to injustice."
|
وَ إِنَّمَا يَعْجَلُ مَنْ يَخَافُ الْفَوْتَ وَ إِنَّمَا يَحْتَاجُ إِلَى الظُّلْمِ الضَّعِيفُ
|
| "And You, O my God, are exalted far above such things, immensely exalted."
|
وَ قَدْ تَعَالَيْتَ يَا إِلَهِي عَنْ ذَلِكَ عُلُوّاً كَبِيراً
|
| "O Allah, I seek refuge in You, so grant me refuge, and I seek protection in You, so grant me protection
|
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ فَأَعِذْنِي وَ أَسْتَجِيرُ بِكَ فَأَجِرْنِي
|
| And I seek provision from You, so provide for me, and I rely on You, so suffice me."
|
وَ أَسْتَرْزِقُكَ فَارْزُقْنِي وَ أَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَيْكَ فَاكْفِنِي
|
| "And I seek Your help against my enemy (Your enemy), so grant me victory, and I seek Your assistance, so assist me
|
وَ أَسْتَنْصِرُكَ عَلَى عَدُوِّي (عَدُوِّكَ) فَانْصُرْنِي وَ أَسْتَعِينُ بِكَ فَأَعِنِّی
|
| "And I seek Your forgiveness, O my God, so forgive me. Amen, Amen, Amen."
|
وَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ يَا إِلَهِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي آمِينَ آمِينَ آمِين
