- Zayn al-'Abidin Mazandarani (d. 1309-1892) was a Shiite marja' in the thirteenth/nineteen and fourteenth/twentieth centuries.
- Muhammad Mahdi Mazandarani (d. 1385/1965) a Shi'a scholar of 13th/17th century and the author of the book Ma'alim al-sibtayn.
- Muhammad Salih Ha'iri Mazandarani (d. 1391/1971), known as Allama Simnani, was a Shiite scholar in philosophy, jurisprudence, principles of jurisprudence, theology, tafsir, poetry and literature in 14th/20th century.
- Muhammad b. Isma'il b. Abd al-Jabbar al-Ha'iri known as Abu Ali al-Ha'iri (d. 1215/1800-1) a Shi'a jurist and scholar of 'ilm al-rijal of 13th/17th century. He is the author of the book Muntaha l-maqal.
