Musawi Sayyids

Mūsawī Sayyids (Arabic: ساداتُ الموسَوی) are a branch of Sayyids descending from the seventh Imam of Shi'a, Imam Musa al-Kazim (a).[1] Many of Musawi Sayyids live in Iraq and also great branches of them live in Iran, Afghanistan, Lebanon, Egypt, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
Families of Ayatullahi Shirazi, Ayatullahi Yazdi, Isfahani, Bujnurdi, Bihbahani, Jazayiri, Khomeini, Khwansari, Zanjani, Shahristani, Shirazi, Sadr, Kashfi, Gulpayigani, Musha'sha'i, and Mirluhi are among famous Musawi families in Iran.[2]
