Men

Abu Hamza al-Thumali; a Shi'a hadith transmitter and commentator of the Qur'an in the 2nd/8th century and a companion of Imam al-Sajjad (a). Abu Hamza has narrated a supplication from Imam al-Sajjad (a) known as Supplication of Abu Hamza which is recited in dawn times (Sahar times) of the month of Ramadan.
Abu Khalid al-Kabuli; known as Kankar, was a companion and hadith transmitter (or rawi) of Imam al-Sajjad (a) and Imam al-Baqir (a).
Abu l-Tufayl al-Kinani; (b. 3/624, d. after 100/718) was a companion of Prophet Muhammad (s). He was also a poet and a supporter of Imam Ali (a). He narrated hadiths from Imam Ali (a), Imam al-Hasan (a), and Imam al-Sajjad (a).
Al-Qasim b. Muhammad b. Abi Bakr; among the elders of the Followers and one of the seven scholars of fiqh in Medina at the time of Imam al-Sajjad (a). He was the father of Imam al-Sadiq's mother. He was among the close and trustworthy companions of Imam al-Sajjad (a) and Imam al-Baqir (a).
Sa'id b. al-Musayyib b. Hazin; one of the Tabi'un (people who met Prophet Muhammad (s)'s Sahaba). He is considered as one of the seven faqihs of Medina in the period of Imam al-Sajjad (a).

Women

Umm Farwa bt. al-Qasim; Imam al-Baqir's (a) wife and mother of Imam al-Sadiq (a). She was daughter of al-Qasim b. Muhammad b. Abi Bakr and her lineage reaches Abu Bakr from her mother's side.
Fatima bt. Imam al-Husayn (a); known as Fāṭima al-Suaghrā, was the eldest daughter of Imam al-Husayn (a) and her mother was Umm Ishaq. She was present in Karbala, and, according to a hadith from Imam al-Baqir (a), Imam al-Husayn (a) gave her the trusts of Imamate and his written will for safekeeping, and she later delivered them to Imam al-Sajjad (a).

Aban b. Abi 'Ayyash; (d. 138/755) al-Shaykh al-Tusi considered him a companion of Imam al-Sajjad (a), Imam al-Baqir (a) and Imam al-Sadiq (a). He was regarded as a true virtuous and religious man by everyone including Sunni Muslims.
Aban b. Taghlib; (b. ? - d. 141/758-59) a Shi'a man of literature, reciter and commentator of the Qur'an, scholar of fiqh and hadith.
Hasan b. Muhammad b. Hanafiyya;

Sulaym b. Qays al-Hilali;
Kumayt b. Zayd al-Asadi;
Rushayd al-Hajari; one of the elite companions of Imam 'Ali (a) and Imam al-Hasan (a) who was a member of Shurtat al-Khamis. Al-Shaykh al-Tusi mentioned his name among the companions of Imam al-Husayn (a) and Imam al-Sajjad (a). He was martyred by 'Ubayd Allah b. Ziyad (or his father) as Imam 'Ali (a) had foretold.
Jabir b. 'Abd Allah al-Ansari; a companion of Prophet Muhammad (s), he took an oath of allegiance to Prophet Muhammad (s) in the second Pledge at al-'Aqaba. Jabir was a true devotee of Ahl al-Bayt (a) and supporter of Imam 'Ali (a). He was considered a prominent companion of Ahl al-Bayt (a), from Imam 'Ali (a) to Imam al-Baqir (a).
