27th of Ramadan in the Islamic Lunar Calendar is the 263rd day of the year.
- According to Allama Tabatabai, it is commonly believed among Sunni Muslims that the Night of Qadr falls on the 27th of Ramadan.
For this day, in addition to the common acts of worship observed on all days of Ramadan, some specific supplications and deeds have also been narrated. Sayyid b. Tawus has narrated more prayers for this day in his book Iqbal al-A'mal.

- Ghusl (ritual bath)
- Reciting repeatedly the supplication:
- O Allah, grant me detachment from the house of deception (this world) and inclination towards the eternal abode, and bless me with readiness for death before its arrival.
- Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِي التَّجَافِيَ عَنْ دَارِ الْغُرُورِ وَ الْإِنَابَةَ إِلَى دَارِ الْخُلُودِ وَ الاسْتِعْدَادَ لِلْمَوْتِ قَبْلَ حُلُولِ الْفَوْتِ
- Reciting the supplication:
- O the One who extends the shadow! And if You willed, You could have made it stationary, and You made the sun an indicator for it, then You gradually withdraw it in an easy withdrawal. O Possessor of generosity, bounty, majesty, and blessings! There is no god but You, the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful! There is no god but You, O Holy One, O Source of Peace, O Bestower of Faith, O Guardian, O Almighty, O Compeller, O Supreme, O Allah, O Creator, O Maker, O Fashioner, O Allah, O Allah, O Allah! Yours are the most beautiful names, the highest examples, majesty, and blessings. I ask You to send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad.
- Arabic: يَا مَادَّ الظِّلِّ وَ لَوْ شِئْتَ لَجَعَلْتَهُ سَاكِنا وَ جَعَلْتَ الشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلا ثُمَّ قَبَضْتَهُ [إِلَيْكَ ] قَبْضا يَسِيراً يَا ذَا الْجُودِ وَ الطَّوْلِ وَ الْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَ الْآلاءِ لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ عَالِمُ الْغَيْبِ وَ الشَّهَادَةِ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ لا إِلَهَ إِلا أَنْتَ يَا قُدُّوسُ يَا سَلامُ يَا مُؤْمِنُ يَا مُهَيْمِنُ يَا عَزِيزُ يَا جَبَّارُ يَا مُتَكَبِّرُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا خَالِقُ يَا بَارِئُ يَا مُصَوِّرُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ يَا اللَّهُ لَكَ الْأَسْمَاءُ الْحُسْنَى وَ الْأَمْثَالُ الْعُلْيَا وَ الْكِبْرِيَاءُ وَ الْآلاءُ أَسْأَلُكَ أَنْ تُصَلِّيَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ
- And inscribe my name tonight among the fortunate ones, my soul among the martyrs, my good deeds in the highest ranks of Paradise, and my sins as forgiven. Grant me certainty that settles in my heart, faith that removes doubt from me, contentment with what You have destined for me, and bestow upon us goodness in this world and goodness in the Hereafter. Protect us from the torment of the blazing fire. Grant me in this night remembrance of You, gratitude to You, longing for You, repentance, and success in achieving what You granted to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad (peace be upon him and them).
- Arabic: وَ أَنْ تَجْعَلَ اسْمِي فِي هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةِ فِي السُّعَدَاءِ وَ رُوحِي مَعَ الشُّهَدَاءِ وَ إِحْسَانِي فِي عِلِّيِّينَ وَ إِسَاءَتِي مَغْفُورَةً وَ أَنْ تَهَبَ لِي يَقِينا تُبَاشِرُ بِهِ قَلْبِي وَ إِيمَانا يُذْهِبُ الشَّكَّ عَنِّي وَ تُرْضِيَنِي بِمَا قَسَمْتَ لِي وَ آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَ قِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ الْحَرِيقِ وَ ارْزُقْنِي فِيهَا ذِكْرَكَ وَ شُكْرَكَ وَ الرَّغْبَةَ إِلَيْكَ وَ الْإِنَابَةَ وَ التَّوْبَةَ وَ التَّوْفِيقَ لِمَا وَفَّقْتَ لَهُ مُحَمَّدا وَ آلَ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ عَلَيْهِمْ

- O Allah, on this day, bestow on me the blessings of Laylatul Qadr, change my affairs from (being) difficult to (being) easy, accept my apologies, and decrease for me [my] sins and burdens, O the Compassionate with His righteous servants.
- Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِی فِیهِ فَضْلَ لَیْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ وَ صَیِّرْ اُمُورِی فِیهِ مِنَ الْعُسْرِ اِلَی الْیُسْرِ وَ اقْبَلْ مَعَاذِیرِی وَ حُطَّ عَنِّیَ الذَّنْبَ وَ الْوِزْرَ یَا رَءُوفاً بِعِبَادِهِ الصَّالِحِینَ
