For this day, in addition to the common acts of worship observed on all days of Ramadan, some specific supplications and deeds have also been narrated. Sayyid b. Tawus has narrated more prayers for this day in his book Iqbal al-A'mal.

	Special Acts and Prayers for the Third Day of Ramadan
Prayer	It is recommended to perform ten rak'a prayer, in each rak'a one recitation of Sura al-Fatiha and fifty recitations of Sura al-Ikhlas.
Supplication of the Day	O Allah, on this day, grant me wisdom and awareness, keep me away from foolishness and pretention, grant me a share in every blessing You send down, by You generosity, O the most Generous. Arabic: اللَّهُمَّ ارْزُقْنِی فِیهِ الذِّهْنَ وَ التَّنْبِیهَ وَ بَاعِدْنِی فِیهِ مِنَ السَّفَاهَةِ وَ التَّمْوِیهِ وَ اجْعَلْ لِی نَصِیبا مِنْ کُلِّ خَیْرٍ تُنْزِلُ فِیهِ بِجُودِکَ یَا اَجْوَدَ الْاَجْوَدِینَ
