Ayatollah Khamene'i, the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has been the main speaker of this ceremony since 1990.[6] The themes of his speeches include the explanation of the thoughts and the Will of Imam Khomeini, issues of the Muslim world, and the prevention of the distortion of Imam Khomeini's ideas.[7]

Other programs of this ceremony include the speech by the custodian of the Shrine of Imam Khomeini before the remarks of the Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the establishment of service mawkibs for participants. This ceremony is covered by Iranian and non-Iranian media.[8]
