| In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
|
بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
|
| Woe to the defrauders who use short measures,(1)
|
وَيْلٌ لِّلْمُطَفِّفِينَ ﴿١﴾
|
| who, when they measure [a commodity bought] from the people, take the full measure,(2)
|
الَّذِينَ إِذَا اكْتَالُوا عَلَى النَّاسِ يَسْتَوْفُونَ ﴿٢﴾
|
| but diminish when they measure or weigh for them.(3)
|
وَإِذَا كَالُوهُمْ أَو وَّزَنُوهُمْ يُخْسِرُونَ ﴿٣﴾
|
| Do they not know that they will be resurrected(4)
|
أَلَا يَظُنُّ أُولَـٰئِكَ أَنَّهُم مَّبْعُوثُونَ ﴿٤﴾
|
| on a tremendous day,(5)
|
لِيَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ ﴿٥﴾
|
| a day when mankind will stand before the Lord of all the worlds?(6)
|
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ النَّاسُ لِرَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ﴿٦﴾
|
| No indeed! The record of the vicious is indeed in Sijjin.(7)
|
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْفُجَّارِ لَفِي سِجِّينٍ ﴿٧﴾
|
| And what will show you what is Sijjin?(8)
|
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا سِجِّينٌ ﴿٨﴾
|
| It is a written record.(9)
|
كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ﴿٩﴾
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day,(10)
|
وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ﴿١٠﴾
|
| who deny the Day of Retribution;(11)
|
الَّذِينَ يُكَذِّبُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ ﴿١١﴾
|
| and none denies it except every sinful transgressor.(12)
|
وَمَا يُكَذِّبُ بِهِ إِلَّا كُلُّ مُعْتَدٍ أَثِيمٍ ﴿١٢﴾
|
| When Our signs are recited to him, he says," Myths of the ancients!"(13)
|
إِذَا تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ ﴿١٣﴾
|
| No indeed! Rather their hearts have been sullied by what they have been earning.(14)
|
كَلَّا ۖ بَلْ ۜ رَانَ عَلَىٰ قُلُوبِهِم مَّا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ ﴿١٤﴾
|
| No indeed! They will be alienated from their Lord on that day.(15)
|
كَلَّا إِنَّهُمْ عَن رَّبِّهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَّمَحْجُوبُونَ ﴿١٥﴾
|
| Then they will indeed enter hell,(16)
|
ثُمَّ إِنَّهُمْ لَصَالُو الْجَحِيمِ ﴿١٦﴾
|
| then told," This is what you used to deny!"(17)
|
ثُمَّ يُقَالُ هَـٰذَا الَّذِي كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ ﴿١٧﴾
|
| No indeed! The record of the pious is indeed in Illiyoun.(18)
|
كَلَّا إِنَّ كِتَابَ الْأَبْرَارِ لَفِي عِلِّيِّينَ ﴿١٨﴾
|
| And what will show you what is Illiyoun?(19)
|
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا عِلِّيُّونَ ﴿١٩﴾
|
| It is a written record,(20)
|
كِتَابٌ مَّرْقُومٌ ﴿٢٠﴾
|
| witnessed by those brought near [to Allah].(21)
|
يَشْهَدُهُ الْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢١﴾
|
| Indeed the pious shall be amid bliss,(22)
|
إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ لَفِي نَعِيمٍ ﴿٢٢﴾
|
| observing, [as they recline] on couches.(23)
|
عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٢٣﴾
|
| You will perceive in their faces the freshness of bliss(24)
|
تَعْرِفُ فِي وُجُوهِهِمْ نَضْرَةَ النَّعِيمِ ﴿٢٤﴾
|
| as they are served with a sealed wine,(25)
|
يُسْقَوْنَ مِن رَّحِيقٍ مَّخْتُومٍ ﴿٢٥﴾
|
| whose seal is musk for such let the viers vie(26)
|
خِتَامُهُ مِسْكٌ ۚ وَفِي ذَٰلِكَ فَلْيَتَنَافَسِ الْمُتَنَافِسُونَ ﴿٢٦﴾
|
| and whose seasoning is from Tasnim,(27)
|
وَمِزَاجُهُ مِن تَسْنِيمٍ ﴿٢٧﴾
|
| a spring where those brought near [to Allah] drink.(28)
|
عَيْنًا يَشْرَبُ بِهَا الْمُقَرَّبُونَ ﴿٢٨﴾
|
| Indeed the guilty used to laugh at the faithful,(29)
|
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ أَجْرَمُوا كَانُوا مِنَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا يَضْحَكُونَ ﴿٢٩﴾
|
| and when they passed them by they would wink at each other,(30)
|
وَإِذَا مَرُّوا بِهِمْ يَتَغَامَزُونَ ﴿٣٠﴾
|
| and when they returned to their folks they would return rejoicing,(31)
|
وَإِذَا انقَلَبُوا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمُ انقَلَبُوا فَكِهِينَ ﴿٣١﴾
|
| and when they saw them they would say," Indeed those are the astray!"(32)
|
وَإِذَا رَأَوْهُمْ قَالُوا إِنَّ هَـٰؤُلَاءِ لَضَالُّونَ ﴿٣٢﴾
|
| Though they were not sent to watch over them.(33)
|
وَمَا أُرْسِلُوا عَلَيْهِمْ حَافِظِينَ ﴿٣٣﴾
|
| So today the faithful will laugh at the faithless,(34)
|
فَالْيَوْمَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنَ الْكُفَّارِ يَضْحَكُونَ ﴿٣٤﴾
|
| observing from couches:(35)
|
عَلَى الْأَرَائِكِ يَنظُرُونَ ﴿٣٥﴾
|
| Have the faithless been requited for what they used to do?(36)[1]
|
هَلْ ثُوِّبَ الْكُفَّارُ مَا كَانُوا يَفْعَلُونَ ﴿٣٦﴾
