Muḥammad Taqī Āmulī (Persian: محمدتقی آملی) (b. 1304/1887 - d. 1391/1971) was a Shia jurist who educated under some great teachers like Mirza Na'ini, Aqa Diya' 'Iraqi, and Aqa Sayyid Abu l-Hasan Isfahani in Najaf, then he came back to Tehran and started teaching and researching there. He passed away in Tehran.
Family and Birth
Muhammad Taqi Amuli, son of Mulla Muhammad Amuli was born on 12th of Dhu l-Qa'da 1304/2 August, 1887 in Tehran.
Teachers
He learned primary lessons from his father. Then, he educated under scholars such as Shaykh 'Abd al-Nabi Nuri and Mirza Hasan Kirmanshahi. In 1340/1991-2, he immigrated to Najaf. There, he took part in classes of great teachers such as Mirza Na'ini, Aqa Diya' 'Iraqi, and Sayyid Abu l-Hasan Isfahani.[1]
Coming back to Tehran
Amuli came back to Tehran and began teaching and writing. He was a solitary jurist. He was not willing to accept leadership, and avoided to write the Risalah Amaliyya (Manual of Islamic law) until the end of his life. A group of erudite jurists were his students and cherished him.

Demise
Amuli passed away on Saturday,Shawwal 29, 1391/December 18, 1971 in Tehran[3] and his body was buried in the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Rida (a) in Mashhad.[4]
