List of Figures Buried in The Holy Shrine of al-Kāẓimayn (a) are Islamic scholars and statesmen who are buried in the shrine of Imam al-Kazim (a) and [[Imam al-Javad (a) in the city of Kadhimiya, Iraq. In the book Tarikh al-mashhad al-Kazimi written by Muhammad Hasan Al Yasin, more than thirty people are mentioned who were buried in Kazmin Shrine during the Abbasid period.[1] The list of those buried in the shrine with the year of their death is as follows:
- Yahya b. Husayn Zu l-Dam'a b. Zayn al-'Abidin (d. 207/822-3)
- Ibn al-'Alqami (d. 656/1258) was a Shi'ite politician and the last minister of Abbasid dynasty.
- Ibn Qulawayh al-Qummi (d. 369/979-80), was one the shi'a hadith narrators in the fourth/tenth century and one of the teachers of Al-Shaykh al-Mufid.
- Ibn Naqid (d.642/1244-5), one of the politicians and ministers of Abassid caliphate
- Abu Muhammad al-Muhallabi (d. 352/962-3) was one of the scholars and poets of fourth
- /tenth century.
- Abu Yusuf Ya'qub b. Ibrahim al-Qadi (d.182/798-9) was one of the judges and founders of the Hanafi school of jurisprudence.
- Muhammad Amin, the sixth 'Abbasid caliph
- Hasan b. Ustadh Hurmuz (d. 401/1010-11) known as 'Amid al-Juyush, one of the rulers of the reign of Samsam al-Dawla and the ruler of Iraq.
- Nasir al-Din al-Tusi (d. 672/1274) was one of the Shi'a philosophers and theologians of seventh/thirteen century.
- Sayyid Isma'il al-Sadr (d. 1338/1919) a Shi'ite marja' in the fourteenth/twentieth century and the head of the al-Sadr Family
- Sayyid Hasan al-Sadr (d. 1354/1935), known as Muhaddith al-Kazimayni al-Faqih and was one of the Shi'ite marja's.
- Sayyid Husayn al-Husayni l-Milani (d. 1329/1911) was one of the Shi'ite scholars and the father of Sayyid Muhammad Hadi Milani
- Sayyid 'Abd Allah al-Shubbar| (d. 1242/1827), one of the Shi'ite scholars of thirteenth/ninetheenth century and the author of the book Tafsir al-Shubbar
- Farhad Mirza Mu'tamad al-Dawla (d. 1305/1887-8) was one of the statesmen of the Qajar era and the uncle of Nasir al-Din Shah , and the author of the book Qamqam-i zakhkhar.
- Muhammad b. Umar al-Ji'abi known as Ibn al-Ji'abi (d. 355/965-6), one of the Shi'ite hadith narrators
- Abu l-Barakat 'Umar b. Ahmad b. Muhammad b. 'Umar b.' Alawi l-Hasani (d. 610/1213-4) one of Sayyids
- Abu l-Hasan 'Ali b. Abi Bakr Muhammad b. 'Ali l-Jurjani l-Tajir (d. 604/1207-8)
- Abu l-Hasan 'Ali b. al-Murtada b. 'Ali l-'Alawi l-Hasani, known as al-Amir al-Sayyid, one of the Hanafi jurists and a teacher in Jami' al-Sultan
- Abu l-Hasan 'Ali b. 'Abd Allah b. Ahmad b. 'Ali b. Mu'ammar al-Husayni (d. 595/1198-9) Naqib of al-Sadat of Baqdad
- Abu l-Hasan 'Ali b. 'Abd Allah b. Shadhan al-Butti (d. 607/1210-11)
- Abu l-Hasan 'Ali b. 'Abd Allah Wusayf known as Nashi (d. 365/977) was a Shi'ite poet
- Abu l-Hasan 'Ali b. Murtada b. 'Ali 'Alawi Isfahani Baqdadi Hanafi (d. 581/1185-6 or 588/1192-3), known as Ibn Murtada and nicknamed Amir Sayyid and was one of Hasani Sayyids.
- Abu l-Hasan Muhammad b. Ahmad b. Dawud (d. 386/996-7), known as Ibn Dawud al-Qummi, he was a Shi'ite hadith narrator and jurist in fourth/tenth century
- Abu l-Husayn 'Ubayd Allah b. 'Ali b. Abu l-Ghana'im Mu'ammar b. Muhammad Husayni (d. 544/1149-50) Naqib of al-Sadat in Baqdad
- Abu l-Ghana'im Mu'ammar b. Muhammad b. Mu'ammar b. Ahmad Husayni (d. 490/1097) Naqib of al-Sadat in India
- Abu l-Fath Haydara b. Abu l-Ghana'im Mu'ammar b. Muhammad Husayni 'Ubaydili (d. 502/1108-9), nicknamed Murtada, Naqib of al-Sadat in Baghdad
- Abu l-fadl 'Ali b. Nasir (d. 515/1121-2) was a descendant of Muhammad al-Hanafiyya and Naqib of Shrine of Kazmamayn
- Abu l-Qasim 'Ali b. Ishaq b. Khalaf al-Baghdadi, known as Zahi, Shi'ite poet (d. 352/963-4 or 361/971-2)
- Abu l-Qasim 'Ali b. Aflah b. Muhammad 'Abasi, known as Ibn Aflah (d. 537/1142-3) was a poet and the scribe of 'Abbasid era
- Abu Ja'far Yahya b. Abi Talib Muhammad b. Muhammad 'Alawi Hasani, known as Ibn Abi Zayd (d. 613/1216-7), Naqib of al-Sadat in Basra

- Abu 'Abd Allah Husayn b. Ahmad, known as Ibn Hajjaj (d. 391/1000-1), Shi'tie poet.
- Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad b. Abi l-'Izz Mansur b. Jamil Jubbi, was the scribe and poet (d. 616/1219-20) and was a contemporary of al-Nasir 'Abbasi.
- Abu 'Ali Hasan b. Muhammad Wasiti, known as Ibn 'Abdus (d. 601/1204-5), he was a poet
- Abu Muhammad 'Abd Allah b. Hibat l-Allah b. Abu l-Qasim Bazzaz, known as Ibn Hilli (d. 609/1212-3)
- Abu Mansur Muhammad b. Mubarak Karkhi (d. 598/1201-2), one of the Shiite scholars of rijal science

- Amir Yazdan al-Turki (d. 568/1172-3), was one of the Shi'ite rulers in 'Abbasid period.
- Taj al-Din Abu Sa'd Hasan b. Muhammad al-Baghdadi, the scribe, known as Ibn Hamdun (d. 608/1211-2), was one of the literary men.

- Diya' al-Din b. 'Athir (d. 558/1162-3), was a literary man, linguist and writer from Iraq
- Diya' al-Din Abu l-Fath Nasr Allah b. Abi l-Karam Muhammad b. Muhammad Shaybani Jazari Musili known as Ibn 'Athir (d. 637/1239-40), was one of the Sunni Rijalis and the brother of the famous historian 'Izz al-Din Ibn 'Athir, the author of the book al-Kamil fi l-Tarikh.
- Zahir al-Din Abu l-Fath Sadaqa b. Abi l-Rida Muhammad b. Ahmad (d. 597/1200-1), deputy minister during the Nasir 'al-Abbasi era
- 'Imad al-Din Abu Talib 'Ali b. Hibat Allah b. Muhammad, known as Ibn Bukhari (d. 593/1196-7), the head of judges in Nasir al-'Abbasi era
