Rabīʿ al-Thānī or Rabīʿ al-Ākhar (Arabic: ربيع الثاني) is the forth month in the Lunar Hijri calendar.[1]
Naming
The word "rabi'" which is derived from the root form "Ra', Ba', 'Ayn" (ر ب ع) literally means "spring" and it's been said that this month is called "Rabi'" because the naming happened in a spring.

- Birth of 'Abd al-'Azim al-Hasani (Rabi' II 4, 173)
- Death of Hisham b. 'Abd al-Malik (Rabi' II 6), 125), Tenth Umayyad caliph in Al-Rusafa district.[2]
- Demise of Lady Fatima al-Ma'suma (a) (Rabi' II 10, 201)
- Birth of Imam al-Hasan al-'Askari (a) (Rabi' II 8, 232)
- Demise of 'Allama Amini (Rabi' II 28, 1390)
