The List of Figures Buried in The Holy Shrine of al-'Askariyyayn (a) are people who were buried in the shrine of Imam al-Hadi (a) and Imam al-'Askari (a) in the city of Samarra. The Shrine of al-'Askariyyayn (a) is the tomb of two Shi'a imams and one of the Shi'a pilgrimage sites in Iraq.[1] Most of the people buried in this shrine are the relatives of the imams (a) and Shi'a scholars.

  • Narjis, mother of Imam al-Mahdi (a)
  • Husayn b. 'Ali al-Hadi (a), the brother of Imam al-Hasan al-'Askari (a)
  • Ja'far b. al-Imam al-Hadi (a) known as Ja'far al-Kadhab, the son of Imam al-Hadi (a) and one of the claimants of the Imamate
  • Hudayth, Imam al-Hadi's (a) wife and Imam al-'Askari's (a) mother
  • Hakima, Imam al-Jawad's (a) daughter
  • Samana al-Maghribiyya, Imam al-Jawad's (a) wife and Imam al-Hadi's (a) mother
  • Abu Hashim al-ja'fari, one of the companions of Shi'a Imams (a) and decedents of Ja'far Tayyar
  • Aqa Rida Ha'iri, known as Kitab Furush (bookseller) (d. circa 1300/1883), one of the scholars of the Seminary of Samarra and the father of Sayyid 'Abd al-Majid Ha'iri, the author of the book Dhakhirat al-Darayn
  • Aqa Rida Hamadani (d. 1322/1904), was one of the jurists of the 13th lunar century.
  • Sayyid Husayn Husayni Isfahani (d. 1344/1925-6) was a Shi'a scholar and head of Sadr Madrasa in Najaf
  • Sayyid Muhammad Sharif Husayni Tuysirkani (d. 1322/1904-5) a Shi'a scholar in 14th century
  • Sayyid Muhammad Shafi' Musawi Kaziruni (d. 1329/1911) and his son, Sayyid Mahdi
  • Shaykh Muhammad Ibrahim Nuri Ilkayi (d. 1322/1904-5) one of the students of Mirza Shirazi and a teacher in the Seminary of Samarra
  • Shaykh Muhammad Husayn Zarqani Shirazi (d. 1300/1882-3) one of the students of Mirza Shirazi and one of the scholars of Samarra
  • Mirza Muhammad 'Askari Tihrani (d. 1371/1952) a Shi'a jurist in 13th and 14th century
  • Mirza Muhsin Zanjani (d. 1321/1903-4) a student of Mirza Shirazi, Sayyid Muhammad Isfahani and Muhammad Taqi al-Shirazi
  • Mirza Mahdi Shirazi (d. 1308/1890-1) was a student of Mirza Shirazi and the nephew of Muhammd Taqi al-Shirazi [2]
  • Mirza Muhammd Husayn Shirazi (d. 1338/1919-20) son of Mirza Khalil Allah al-Shirazi, one of the scholars who emigrated to Samarra and a student of Mirza Shirazi
  • Sayyid Hasan kilid Dar (d. 1345/1926-7), son of Sayyid Rida, one of the key bearers and custodians of the Holy Shrine of al-'Askariyyan (a)[3]
  • Ahmad Khan Dunbuli (d. 1200/1785-6) and his son Husayn Quli Khan Dunbuli one of the figures of Qajar period [4]
