| In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
|
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
|
| By the successive emissaries, (1)
|
وَالمُرسَلاتِ عُرفًا (۱)
|
| by the raging hurricanes, (2)
|
فَالعاصِفاتِ عَصفًا (۲)
|
| by the sweeping spreaders, (3)
|
وَالنّاشِراتِ نَشرًا (۳)
|
| by the decisive separators, (4)
|
فَالفارِقاتِ فَرقًا (۴)
|
| by the inspirers of remembrance, (5)
|
فَالمُلقِياتِ ذِكرًا (۵)
|
| to excuse or to warn: (6)
|
عُذرًا أَو نُذرًا (۶)
|
| indeed what you are promised will surely befall. (7)
|
إِنَّما توعَدونَ لَواقِعٌ (۷)
|
| So when the stars are blotted out, (8)
|
فَإِذَا النُّجومُ طُمِسَت (۸)
|
| and when the sky is split, (9)
|
وَإِذَا السَّماءُ فُرِجَت (۹)
|
| and when the mountains are scattered1 [like dust], (10)
|
وَإِذَا الجِبالُ نُسِفَت (۱۰)
|
| and when the time is set for the apostles [to witness] (11)
|
وَإِذَا الرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَت (۱۱)
|
| —for what day has [all] that been set [to occur]? (12)
|
لِأَيِّ يَومٍ أُجِّلَت (۱۲)
|
| For the Day of Judgement! (13)
|
لِيَومِ الفَصلِ (۱۳)
|
| And what will show you what is the Day of Judgement! (14)
|
وَما أَدراكَ ما يَومُ الفَصلِ (۱۴)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (15)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۱۵)
|
| Did We not destroy the ancients, (16)
|
أَلَم نُهلِكِ الأَوَّلينَ (۱۶)
|
| [and] then made the latter ones follow them? (17)
|
ثُمَّ نُتبِعُهُمُ الآخِرينَ (۱۷)
|
| That is how We deal with the guilty. (18)
|
كَذٰلِكَ نَفعَلُ بِالمُجرِمينَ (۱۸)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (19)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۱۹)
|
| Have We not created you from a base fluid, (20)
|
أَلَم نَخلُقكُم مِن ماءٍ مَهينٍ (۲۰)
|
| [and] then lodged it in a secure abode (21)
|
فَجَعَلناهُ في قَرارٍ مَكينٍ (۲۱)
|
| until a known span [of time]? (22)
|
إِلىٰ قَدَرٍ مَعلومٍ (۲۲)
|
| Then We designed; so how excellent designers We are! (23)
|
فَقَدَرنا فَنِعمَ القادِرونَ (۲۳)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (24)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۲۴)
|
| Have We not made the earth a receptacle (25)
|
أَلَم نَجعَلِ الأَرضَ كِفاتًا (۲۵)
|
| for the living and the dead, (26)
|
أَحياءً وَأَمواتًا (۲۶)
|
| and set in it lofty [and] firm mountains, and given you agreeable water to drink? (27)
|
وَجَعَلنا فيها رَواسِيَ شامِخاتٍ وَأَسقَيناكُم ماءً فُراتًا (۲۷)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (28)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۲۸)
|
| [They will be told]: ‘Get off toward what you used to deny! (29)
|
انطَلِقوا إِلىٰ ما كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبونَ (۲۹)
|
| Get off toward the triple-forked shadow, (30)
|
انطَلِقوا إِلىٰ ظِلٍّ ذي ثَلاثِ شُعَبٍ (۳۰)
|
| which is neither shady nor is of any avail against the flame. (31)
|
لا ظَليلٍ وَلا يُغني مِنَ اللَّهَبِ (۳۱)
|
| Indeed it throws up sparks [huge] like palaces, (32)
|
إِنَّها تَرمي بِشَرَرٍ كَالقَصرِ (۳۲)
|
| [bright] as if they were yellow camels. (33)
|
كَأَنَّهُ جِمالَتٌ صُفرٌ (۳۳)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (34)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۳۴)
|
| This is a day wherein they will not speak, (35)
|
هٰذا يَومُ لا يَنطِقونَ (۳۵)
|
| nor will they be permitted to offer excuses. (36)
|
وَلا يُؤذَنُ لَهُم فَيَعتَذِرونَ (۳۶)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (37)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۳۷)
|
| ‘This is the Day of Judgement. We have brought together you and the ancients. (38)
|
هٰذا يَومُ الفَصلِ ۖ جَمَعناكُم وَالأَوَّلينَ (۳۸)
|
| If you have any stratagems [left], try out your stratagems against Me!’ (39)
|
فَإِن كانَ لَكُم كَيدٌ فَكيدونِ (۳۹)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (40)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۴۰)
|
| Indeed the Godwary will be amid shades and springs, (41)
|
إِنَّ المُتَّقينَ في ظِلالٍ وَعُيونٍ (۴۱)
|
| and fruits, such as they desire. (42)
|
وَفَواكِهَ مِمّا يَشتَهونَ (۴۲)
|
| [They will be told:] ‘Enjoy your food and drink, [as a reward] for what you used to do.’ (43)
|
كُلوا وَاشرَبوا هَنيئًا بِما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ (۴۳)
|
| Thus indeed do We reward the virtuous. (44)
|
إِنّا كَذٰلِكَ نَجزِي المُحسِنينَ (۴۴)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (45)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۴۵)
|
| ‘Eat and enjoy a little! You are indeed guilty.’ (46)
|
كُلوا وَتَمَتَّعوا قَليلًا إِنَّكُم مُجرِمونَ (۴۶)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (47)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۴۷)
|
| When they are told, ‘Bow down,’ they do not bow down! (48)
|
وَإِذا قيلَ لَهُمُ اركَعوا لا يَركَعونَ (۴۸)
|
| Woe to the deniers on that day! (49)
|
وَيلٌ يَومَئِذٍ لِلمُكَذِّبينَ (۴۹)
|
| So what discourse will they believe after this? (50)[1]
|
فَبِأَيِّ حَديثٍ بَعدَهُ يُؤمِنونَ (۵۰)
|
