| 11) His Supplication for Good Outcomes | (11)
| In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful. |
| 1- O He remembering whom brings honour to those who remember! | 1.
| O He thanking whom brings triumph to those who give thanks! |
| O He obeying whom brings deliverance to those who obey! |
| Bless Muhammad and his Household, |
| and divert our hearts through remembering Thee from every act of remembrance, | وَ اشْغَلْ قُلُوبَنَا بِذِكْرِكَ عَنْ كُلِّ ذِكْرٍ ، |
| our tongues through thanking Thee from every act of thanksgiving, | وَ أَلْسِنَتَنَا بِشُكْرِكَ عَنْ كُلِّ شُكْرٍ ، |
| our limbs through obeying Thee from every act of obedience! |
| 2- If Thou hast ordained for us idleness from these occupations, | 2.
| make it an idleness of safety, | فَاجْعَلْهُ فَرَاغَ سَلَامَةٍ |
| within which no ill consequence visits us | لَا تُدْرِكُنَا فِيهِ تَبِعَةٌ ، |
| or weariness overtakes us!
| with a page empty of the mention of our evil deeds, | بِصَحِيفَةٍ خَالِيَةٍ مِنْ ذِكْرِ سَيِّئَاتِنَا ، |
| Then the writers of evil deeds may depart from us | حَتَّى يَنْصَرِفَ عَنَّا كُتَّابُ السَّيِّئَاتِ |
| and the writers of good deeds may turn away from us | وَ يَتَوَلَّى كُتَّابُ الْحَسَنَاتِ عَنَّا |
| happy with the good deeds of ours which they have written.
| 3- And when the days of our life have passed by, | 3.
| the terms of our lifetimes have elapsed, | وَ تَصَرَّمَتْ مُدَدُ أَعْمَارِنَا ، |
| and Thy call, which must come and be answered, summons us forth, | وَ اسْتَحْضَرَتْنَا دَعْوَتُكَ الَّتِي لَا بُدَّ مِنْهَا وَ مِنْ إِجَابَتِهَا ، |
| then bless Muhammad and his Household | فَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ ، |
| and make the outcome of what the writers of our works count against us | وَ اجْعَلْ خِتَامَ مَا تُحْصِي عَلَيْنَا كَتَبَةُ أَعْمَالِنَا |
| an accepted repentance, | تَوْبَةً مَقْبُولَةً |
| which afterwards gave us no rest in a sin that we committed | لَا تُوقِفُنَا بَعْدَهَا عَلَى ذَنْبٍ اجْتَرَحْنَاهُ ، |
| or an act of disobedience that we performed! |
| 4- Remove not from us any covering with which Thou hast covered over the heads of the witnesses | 4.
| on the day when the records of Thy servants are tried! |
| Verily Thou art compassionate to him who supplicates Thee, | 5.
| the responder to him who calls upon Thee![1] | وَ مُسْتَجِيبٌ لِمَنْ نَادَاكَ . |
