| His Supplication for his Neighbours and Friends when he Mentioned them
|
(26) وَ كَانَ مِنْ دُعَائِهِ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ لِجِيرَانِهِ وَ أَوْلِيَائِهِ إِذَا ذَكَرَهُمْ
|
| In the Name of Allah, the All-beneficent, the All-merciful.
|
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحيمِ
|
| 1- O God, bless Muhammad and his Household
|
1. اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ ،
|
| and attend to me with Thy best attending in my neighbours and friends
|
وَ تَوَلَّنِي فِي جِيرَانِي وَ مَوَالِيَّ
|
| who recognize our right
|
الْعَارِفِينَ بِحَقِّنَا ،
|
| and war against our enemies!
|
وَ الْمُنَابِذِينَ لِأَعْدَائِنَا بِأَفْضَلِ وَلَايَتِكَ .
|
| 2- Give [my neighbours and friends] success in performing Thy prescriptions
|
2. وَ وَفِّقْهُمْ لِإِقَامَةِ سُنَّتِكَ ،
|
| and taking on the beauties of Thy courtesy
|
وَ الْأَخْذِ بِمَحَاسِنِ أَدَبِكَ
|
| through acting gently with their weak,
|
فِي إِرْفَاقِ ضَعِيفِهِمْ ،
|
| remedying their lacks, visiting their sick,
|
وَ سَدِّ خَلَّتِهِمْ ، وَ عِيَادَةِ مَرِيضِهِمْ ،
|
| guiding their seeker of right guidance,
|
وَ هِدَايَةِ مُسْتَرْشِدِهِمْ ،
|
| giving good counsel to their seeker of advice,
|
وَ مُنَاصَحَةِ مُسْتَشِيرِهِمْ ،
|
| attending to the one among them who returns from travel,
|
وَ تَعَهُّدِ قَادِمِهِمْ ،
|
| hiding their secrets, covering over their shameful things,
|
وَ كِتْمَانِ أَسْرَارِهِمْ ، وَ سَتْرِ عَوْرَاتِهِمْ ،
|
| helping their wronged,
|
وَ نُصْرَةِ مَظْلُومِهِمْ ،
|
| sharing kindly with them in goods,
|
وَ حُسْنِ مُوَاسَاتِهِمْ بِالْمَاعُونِ ،
|
| turning toward them with wealth and bestowal of bounty,
|
وَ الْعَوْدِ عَلَيْهِمْ بِالْجِدَةِ وَ الْإِفْضَالِ ،
|
| and giving what is due to them before they ask!
|
وَ إِعْطَاءِ مَا يَجِبُ لَهُمْ قَبْلَ السُّؤَالِ
|
| 3- Let me, O God, repay their evildoer with good-doing,
|
3. وَ اجْعَلْنِي اللَّهُمَّ أَجْزِي بِالْإِحْسَانِ مُسِيئَهُمْ ،
|
| turn away from their wrongdoer with forbearance.
|
وَ أُعْرِضُ بِالتَّجَاوُزِ عَنْ ظَالِمِهِمْ ،
|
| have a good opinion of every one of them,
|
وَ أَسْتَعْمِلُ حُسْنَ الظَّنِّ فِي كَافَّتِهِمْ ،
|
| attend to all of them with devotion,
|
وَ أَتَوَلَّى بِالْبِرِّ عَامَّتَهُمْ ،
|
| lower my eyes before them in continence,
|
وَ أَغُضُّ بَصَرِي عَنْهُمْ عِفَّةً ،
|
| make mild my side toward them in humility,
|
وَ أُلِينُ جَانِبِي لَهُمْ تَوَاضُعاً ،
|
| be tender toward the afflicted among them in mercy,
|
وَ أَرِقُّ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْبَلَاءِ مِنْهُمْ رَحْمَةً ،
|
| make them happy in absence through affection,
|
وَ أُسِرُّ لَهُمْ بِالْغَيْبِ مَوَدَّةً ،
|
| love that they continue to receive favour through good will,
|
وَ أُحِبُّ بَقَاءَ النِّعْمَةِ عِنْدَهُمْ نُصْحاً ،
|
| grant them what I grant my next of kin,
|
وَ أُوجِبُ لَهُمْ مَا أُوجِبُ لِحَامَّتِي ،
|
| and observe for them what I observe for my special friends!
|
وَ أَرْعَى لَهُمْ مَا أَرْعَى لِخَاصَّتِي .
|
| 4- O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
|
4. اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَ آلِهِ ،
|
| provide me the like of that from them,
|
وَ ارْزُقْنِي مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُمْ ،
|
| appoint for me the fullest share of what is with them,
|
وَ اجْعَلْ لِي أَوْفَى الْحُظُوظِ فِيمَا عِنْدَهُمْ ،
|
| increase them in insight toward my right
|
وَ زِدْهُمْ بَصِيرَةً فِي حَقِّي ،
|
| and knowledge of my excellence
|
وَ مَعْرِفَةً بِفَضْلِي
|
| so that they will be fortunate through me and I fortunate through them!
|
حَتَّى يَسْعَدُوا بِي وَ أَسْعَدَ بِهِمْ ،
|
| Amen, Lord of the worlds![1]
|
آمِينَ رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ .
